Manikganj: Police have arrested Md. Alinoor Box, the chairman of Daragram union parishad, in connection with a case related to arson and violence at Daragram High School in Saturia upazila of the district. He was detained this afternoon from the Union parishad premises.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Md. Alinoor Box is the son of Elahi Box and a member of the Saturia upazila unit of the Awami League. He was elected as the chairman of the Daragram union parishad in the last election, representing the Awami League and contesting with the party’s ‘boat’ symbol.
Saturia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahinul Islam confirmed the arrest and stated that legal proceedings are underway in the case.
