An unidentified woman found lying unconscious on the street in front of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Monday died after being taken to the hospital, police said.
“Pedestrians found the woman on the street and informed the police through national emergency hotline number 999 around 12pm. Police took her to the emergency unit of DMCH,” Jobain Ferdous, sub-inspector (SI) of Shahbagh Police Station, said.

She was declared dead at 12:30pm, the SI said. “The body has been sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy, and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is trying to confirm her identity.”
