Dhaka: Senior Project Officer of UNESCO's Section for Freedom of Expression, Division of Freedom of Expression and Media Development, Communication and Information Sector, Mehdi Benchelah, has paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police, Baharul Alam. The meeting took place at the Police Headquarters this morning, as mentioned in a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the UNESCO representative discussed potential training initiatives aimed at enhancing the capacity of Bangladesh Police. This collaboration seeks to improve the skills and knowledge of the police force, contributing to more effective law enforcement in the country.
The IGP expressed gratitude to the UNESCO representative for their efforts and conveyed hope that the cooperation between Bangladesh Police and UNESCO will continue to flourish. Relevant officials from both Bangladesh Police and UNESCO were present during the meeting.
