Dhaka: The government has appointed Umme Marufa as First Secretary (Press) in the Press Wing of the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, India.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification today regarding her appointment. Marufa's tenure is set for one year from the date of her joining. The appointment is contingent on her relinquishing any other professional, business, or employment ties with any government, semi-government, or private institution or organization, as stipulated in the notification.
