Sirajganj: A delegation of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) today visited the Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU), situated at Enayetpur in Sirajganj with the primary objective to grant its permanent status.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the four-member delegation, led by UGC member Professor Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain, inspected the private university. The visit aimed to assess the land allocated for the university’s permanent status along with other pertinent issues, as mentioned in a UGC press release.

The delegation included UGC’s Private University Department Director Dr. Md Sultan Mahmud Bhuiyan, Senior Assistant Director Noori Shahreen Islam, and Assistant Secretary Md Amirul Islam. Their presence underscored the significance of the inspection in the process of granting permanent accreditation to KYAU.

Previously, the UGC had established a committee tasked with thoroughly examining all conditions required for granting KYAU permanent accreditation. This involves analyzing the university’s academic, administrative, and financial aspects to ensure compliance with the necessary standards.
