UGC Chief Calls for New Bangladesh Aligned with ‘July Uprising’ Spirit

Bangladesh: Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Dr SMA Faiz has called for building a new Bangladesh free from discrimination in line with the spirit of the July Uprising. “The positive change of every citizen is essential for building a new Bangladesh. Change in society is possible through individual changes,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion titled ‘July-beyond boundaries’ in the city.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was organized by the Bangladesh Consulate General, Hong Kong, on Thursday. Consul General Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mansur presided over the event. The discussion also featured prominent figures such as the President of Bangladesh Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Dewan Saiful Alam Masud, Hong Kong community representatives Md. Zafar Ali, Golam Mostafa, Dr. Azad Rahman, Md. Zahirul Islam, Md. Imam Hossain Kamrul, and Farhana Sultana.



Khairul Islam Nizami, General Secretary of Bangladesh Association of Hong Kong, and Imran Al Ikram, President of Bangladesh Students Association, Hong Kong, were among others who spoke on the occasion, emphasizing the collaborative efforts needed to foster a society rooted in equality and progress.
