Dhaka: Bangladesh will take on Malaysia in the 3rd/4th place-deciding match of the Men's U-18 Asia Cup Hockey scheduled to be held at Dazhou National Hockey Training Centre in China tomorrow. The match kicks off at 6.30 pm Bangladesh time.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh Men's Hockey team earlier finished Pool A runners up to qualify for the semi-finals with three wins and one defeat. They secured victories over hosts China by 5-2 goals, Hong Kong by 3-0 goals, and Sri Lanka by 13-0 goals, but faced a 3-6 loss against Pakistan.
In the semi-finals, Bangladesh was defeated by Japan with a score of 6-4. Malaysia also faced a loss against Pakistan, with the game ending in a thrilling 4-3 shootout after a 3-3 draw in regulation time.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh women's hockey team is set to compete against Kazakhstan in their 3rd/4th place-deciding match on the same day at 6 pm Bangladesh time.
