Abu dhabi: Bangladesh U-17 women's football team is set to play their first friendly match against the Syrian team tonight as part of their preparation for the 2026 AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup qualification.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the match is scheduled to kick off at 10 pm Bangladesh time at the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Football Association ground 1. Following this match, Bangladesh will face the host UAE team in their second friendly match on Thursday.
The Bangladesh U-17 team is gearing up for the AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup qualification tournament to be held in Jordan. The team will play their first group match against host Jordan on October 13, followed by a match against Chinese Taipei on October 17.
In preparation for these matches, the team held their second training session under head coach AKM Saiful Bari Titu at the UAE Football Association training ground 2 on Monday night. The coach and the team are focused on honing their skills and strategies for the upcoming challenges.
The Bangladesh U-17 women's squad comprises Meghla Rani, Shiuly Roy, Arifa Akter, Sorovi Akter, Arpita (captain), Kranuching Marma, Mamoni Chakma, Umma Kulshum, Alpi Akter, Thuinuye Marma, Fatema Akter, Protima Akter, Puja Chakma, Mst Almina, Reya, Mst Momita Khatun, Mishu Rani, Amena Khatun, Purnima Marma, Sauravi Akanda, Mst Resme Akter, Yearzan Begum, and Ishita Tripura.
