U-15 Football Training Camp Inaugurated in Dinajpur

Dinajpur: The Festival of Youth 21-day football training for under-15 youth was inaugurated at the Gore-A Shaheed Boro Maidan in Dinajpur today (Tuesday). Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Noor A Alam formally inaugurated the training by releasing balloons and festoons as the chief guest.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of twenty-five trainees-twenty-five boys and fifteen girls-from different schools and clubs of the district are participating in the training, which is part of the annual sports programme of the Dinajpur District Sports Department. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Noor A Alam emphasized the importance of balancing studies with regular sports practice to become either a good player or student.



The inauguration event also featured speeches from Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Anwar Hossain, district BNP vice president Khalequzzaman Babu, and Dinajpur City Jamaat Ameer Sirajus Salehin, among other dignitaries, with district sports officer Md. Asaduzzaman presiding over the programme.



Organizers stated that the 21-day training will take place daily from morning to evening, with sessions led by former footballers and AFC-trained coaches Md. Sohel Rana and Noor Islam Belal. Following the training, six trainees will be selected to advance to the Rangpur division. Subsequently, sixteen trainees from Rangpur division will be chosen to participate in the Development Cup tournament in Dhaka.
