Typhoid Vaccination Campaign 2025 Concludes in Khulna

Khulna: The two-day long training workshop on 'Typhoid Vaccination Campaign 2025' was held today at the City Health Building on Sher-e-Bangla Road in Khulna. KCC's Chief Executive Officer (Additional Charge), Sharif Asif Rahman, presided over the closing ceremony and addressed as the chief guest.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop was organized by the Health Department of Khulna City Corporation (KCC). It featured participation from chief revenue officer Rahima Sultana Bushra, chief waste management officer and executive magistrate Kohinur Jahan, and authorized ward officials. The campaign, under the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, aims to administer a single dose of the TCV vaccine from September 1 to all children aged 9 months to under-15 years to prevent typhoid fever.

The two-day training workshop commenced on Wednesday to ensure the effective implementation of the campaign. Dr. Najmus Ahsan Sojib, Surveillance Immunization Officer of the World Health Organization, and Dr. Tapas Kumar, National EPI Specialist of UNICEF, led the training programme as trainers.
