Mymensingh:Two young sisters lost their lives in a tragic road accident in the West Taldighi area on the Fulbaria-Phulpur road under Tarakanda upazila of Mymensingh district this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased have been identified as Arabia, aged 8, and Rabia, aged 6. They were the daughters of Mokhlesur Rahman from West Taldighi village. The accident occurred when a covered van, approaching from behind, ran over the two sisters in front of their mother, resulting in their immediate death.
The sisters were accompanying their mother, Fatema Akter, who was on her way to work as a domestic worker when the incident took place. Officer-in-Charge of Tarakanda Police Station, Abdur Rashid, has confirmed the incident and stated that further legal actions will be pursued in relation to the accident.
