Mymensingh: Two youths were killed and another was injured when a truck hit a motorbike in the Notun Bazar area under Muktagachha upazila of the district today. The deceased were identified as Ananta Khan, 22, from Ahmedpur village in the upazila, and Russel Mia, 25, from Char Ishwardia village of Mymensingh Sadar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 1 pm when a truck, coming from the opposite direction, collided with the motorcycle. The impact left one person dead on the spot, as confirmed by Md. Kamal Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Muktagachha Police Station.
The injured were immediately taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where Russel later succumbed to his injuries. The local authorities are investigating the incident to determine the precise cause of the crash.
