Jhenaidah: Two students from Al Qalam Hifz Madrasa in the district have completed ‘Quran Hifz’ in record time and earned the opportunity to perform the holy Umrah pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. The two students, Mia Mohammad Mostafa and Tanvir Mahmud Ifad, both 11 years old, memorized the entire Holy Quran in exceptionally short periods-just 10 months and 16 months, respectively. The institution recognized their achievement by rewarding them with a trip to perform the holy Umrah.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the achievements were celebrated at a special ceremony organized by the Al Qalam Hifz Madrasa in Jhenaidah town. Mia Mohammad Mostafa, a resident of Upshahar Para, Sreerampur Union, Magura, completed the memorization of the Quran in just 10 months and 18 days. His father, Mia Mohammad Hasan Zakir, is a businessman. Mostafa was admitted to the Madrasa in May of the previous year but had to take a four-month break due to illness before completing the Hifz.
The other student, Tanvir Mahmud Ifad, from Lakshikol village in Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila, completed his memorization in just 16 months at the same Madrasa. The ceremony saw a total of five Hifz students honored and presented with certificates. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Jhenaidah district, Mohammad Abdul Awal, who served as the chief guest. Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Rezaul Karim and Chairman of Al Qalam Foundation Shaykh Muhammad Saidur Rahman were also present.
Speakers at the discussion noted that completing the Hifz of the entire Quran in such a short time is a difficult and rare achievement. They expressed hope that the dedication and focus displayed by these two students will serve as an inspiration for others.
