Two Pharmacy Shops Penalized Tk 50,000 Each in Chuadanga

Chuadanga: The Directorate of National Consumers’ Right Protection (DNCRP) today imposed fines totaling Tk 50,000 on two pharmacy shops during a raid in Valaipur bazaar of the district.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Monir Pharmacy, owned by Monirul Haq, received a fine of Tk 25,000 for selling expired medicines and improper storage practices. Additionally, Rokeya Dental Care, owned by Abul Kalam Azad, was fined Tk 25,000 for conducting business using false information.



Mamunur Rahman, Assistant Director of the District Consumer Rights Protection Directorate, stated that the raid in Valaipur Bazar under Sadar Upazila was conducted based on secret information. Essential goods and medicine shops were thoroughly examined during the operation.



The authorities have instructed the owners of both establishments to address the identified issues and ensure proper business conduct in the future.
