Two Members of Question Leak Gang Held in Rangpur

The Detective Branch (DB) of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP), in a special drive, arrested two members of an organised gang involved in question paper leakage from the Captain Backology intersection adjacent to the Police Lines in Rangpur Metropolitan City this afternoon. During the drive, police recovered three mobile phones and several sophisticated digital devices from the arrested persons.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrestees were identified as Md Golam Kibria, son of Md Shariful Islam, and Suman Chandra, son of Gopal Chandra. Both individuals are residents of Kafrikhal village in the Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur. Deputy Police Commissioner of the RpMP’s Detective Branch, Sanaton Chakraborty, disclosed the information to journalists at a press briefing at his office this afternoon.

Sanaton Chakraborty stated that an organised group has been attempting to cheat in the primary teacher recruitment examinations using mode
rn information technology. As part of the operation, the two were arrested based on secret information, and digital devices and mobile phones were seized from their possession.

He further mentioned that during preliminary interrogation, the arrestees admitted they were present at the Captain Backology intersection to supply digital devices.
