Bhola: Members of the Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) have apprehended the leaders of two criminal gangs, seizing a firearm, 12 hand grenades, and two rounds of cartridges during separate raids in Bhola district. The arrests were made in the South Charpata area under Sadar upazila and Charsamaiya union, targeting Md Faruk Daulat and Md Hosne Siam. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the operation was conducted following a tip-off and led to the capture of the two gang chiefs in the early hours of the day. In addition to the seized firearm and ammunition, the authorities also confiscated three local weapons from the possession of the arrested individuals. The detained gang leaders, Md Faruk Daulat and Md Hosne Siam, have long been involved in various criminal activities in the region, including extortion, land grabbing, and intimidation. The seized items and the arrestees have been handed over to Bhola Sadar Model Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
