A mobile court in Baghaichhari upazila of
the district today fined two people Taka 1,50,000 for cutting hills
unlawfully.
The drive, led by Upazila Executive Magistrate Shirin Akhter, conducted in
Model Town area in the upazila this noon and fined Md Harun Taka 50,000 and
Shanti Bikash Chakma Taka 1,000,00 for cutting the hills unlawfully.
Shirin Akhter, who is also the upazila nirbahi officer (UNO), said such
drives would be continued in future.
