Chawkaria:Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision between a passenger bus and a vegetable-laden pickup van in the Chawkaria upazila of the district early today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased have been identified as Abdullah, aged 27, the son of Abul Kalam from the Fhuler Dail area in Teknaf upazila, and Md. Yeasin, aged 30, the son of Md. Dulal from the Rampura area in Chawkaria upazila.
The accident took place in the Noyapara Sabuj Pahar area. Sub-Inspector Md. Selim Mia from the Malumghat Highway Police Station reported that the collision resulted in the immediate deaths of the two passengers in the pickup van. Police have seized the vehicles involved, and legal action is being pursued in connection with the incident.
