Khagrachari: Two persons died from electrocution and one was injured in the Boropara area of Sadar upazila of the district this afternoon. The deceased were identified as Pankaj Tripura, 50, son of Muchi Kumar Tripura, and Upen Tripura.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, locals reported that the victims were electrocuted after coming into contact with a hanging electric wire on the side of the road in the Baropara area. Upen Tripura died on the spot, while Pankaj Tripura was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where the doctor declared him dead.
Injured Chandrarani Tripura is currently receiving treatment at Khagrachari Sadar Hospital. Khagrachari Model Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Md Abdul Baten Mridha confirmed the incident.
