Khulna: A two-day "Scholarship Festival: Season-1" concluded at Khulna University (KU), providing students with valuable insights into higher education opportunities and scholarships abroad. Organised by the Khulna University Research Society (KURS), the event wrapped up with a formal session at the Journalist Liaquat Ali Auditorium on the university campus.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, KU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Rezaul Karim addressed the session as the chief guest, emphasizing the need for students to acquire knowledge, skills, and qualifications to remain competitive in the international arena. He highlighted the importance of hard work and shared experiences from his recent visits to Australia and the Netherlands, where universities offer favourable environments for education and research, fostering students' knowledge and innovation.
Special guests at the event included Vice-Chancellor of Narayanganj Science and Technology University Prof Dr Md Najmus Sadat, KU Pro-VC Prof Dr Md Harunur Rashid Khan, Director of Student Affairs Prof Dr Md Salahuddin, KURS Adviser Prof Dr Md Matiul Islam, and KURS founder Md Yasin Ahmed. KURS President Chayan Boxi delivered the welcome speech, setting the stage for discussions on application guidelines and preparation strategies for scholarships like DAAD and MEXT.
The festival covered scholarship opportunities in countries such as the UK, Germany, Australia, Japan, and other European nations, focusing on application procedures and preparation strategies. Students from various disciplines at Khulna University actively participated in the discussions, gaining insights into pursuing higher education abroad.
