Dhaka: The two-day ‘Election Journalism Training’ for local journalists commenced today in Magura. This training is designed to enhance the professional skills of journalists in preparation for the upcoming general elections.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event is organized by the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) and is taking place at the Magura Press Club conference room. It brings together 50 journalists from the Magura and Rajbari districts. The training session aims to equip journalists with the necessary skills and awareness to provide accurate, balanced, and credible coverage during the election process.
Magura Press Club President Professor Saidur Rahman presided over the inaugural session. Senior journalist Sharmin Rinvi, PIB coordinator Shah Alam, and librarian Md Jahangir Hossain participated as resource persons. They shared insights on ethical and professional reporting during election periods, emphasizing the importance of responsible journalism.
