Two Cousins Killed in Motorcycle-Truck Collision in Lohagara

Chattogram: Two cousins riding on a motorcycle met a tragic end as their bike collided head-on with a mini-truck in Lohagara upazila. Police reported that the accident occurred at Chunati Jangaliya Range Office on Thursday night.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased, Rakibul Islam and Jihad, were residents of Cox’s Bazar district. The accident took place when six friends were traveling to Sajek in Rangamati on three motorcycles, as explained by one of their companions, Saiful Islam.



Following the collision with the mini-truck, Rakibul and Jihad were immediately taken to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead by the attending doctor. The authorities have since seized the truck and arrested the driver, Amir Uddin, aged 24, along with his assistant, Jaynal Abedin Zobair, aged 20, from Bandarban.
