Netrokona:Two young brothers lost their lives after being electrocuted while playing near their home in Kendua upazila this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the victims were identified as Muaz, 7, and Arafat, 6, sons of Md Abdus Sattar from Kawalikanda village in Paikura Union. The incident occurred around 9 am when one of the boys accidentally touched a live electric wire, and his brother was electrocuted while attempting to rescue him.
Their parents, who were working in a nearby cowshed, rushed to the scene upon hearing the children's screams and found them unconscious. They took the boys to Kendua Upazila Health Complex, where doctors pronounced them dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Kendua Police Station, Mohammad Tarikul Islam, confirmed the incident and stated that the bodies were returned to the family following the completion of necessary legal procedures.
