Two Arrested with 47 Kilograms of Ganja in Kurigram

Kurigram: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested two individuals suspected of drug trafficking after discovering 47 kilograms of ganja in their possession on the eastern side of the Dharla Bridge under Sadar upazila. The arrest occurred on Tuesday night.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an operational team from RAB-13 acted on a tip-off and conducted a raid, leading to the seizure of the large quantity of smuggled ganja from a truck. The operation, which took place at approximately 11:10 pm, resulted in the arrest of the two suspects at the scene.



The arrested individuals have been identified as Md Sekul Hawlader, 40, from Shibganj upazila, and Md Abdul Alim, 28, from Rajarhat upazila. Authorities have transferred the detainees, along with the seized contraband, to Kurigram Sadar police station for further legal proceedings.
