Chattogram: Members of RAB-7 have detained two persons in connection with the killing of a small tea vendor in the city’s Laittaghata area under Kotowali thana on Saturday night. The arrested individuals were identified as Rubel Boiddya, 31, and Raju Nath, 38.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) A R M Mozaffar Hossain said that acting on a tip-off, a RAB team nabbed Rubel and Raju from the area along with two knives and a motorbike. The detainees were later handed over to police for further legal action.
The victim, Ismail Hossain, a small tea vendor in the Court Road area, was chopped to death by a group of miscreants while he was returning home around midnight on November 28. Following the incident, the victim’s wife filed a case with Kotowali Police Station.
