Two Army Officials Appointed as Ambassadors

Dhaka: Major General Kabir Ahmed and Bangladesh Tea Board Chairman Major General Sheikh Mohammad Sarwar Hossain from the Bangladesh army have been appointed on deputation as ambassadors, as per the foreign ministry’s arrangements. The public administration ministry issued a notification regarding their new assignments today, confirming that the order will come into immediate effect.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the appointments reflect a strategic move as the Bangladesh government positions experienced military officials in diplomatic roles, possibly to leverage their leadership skills and understanding of international relations. The notification from the public administration ministry has officially set these changes in motion, expanding the roles of the army officials into the diplomatic arena.
