Twenty-Five Chittagong University Students Nominated for Prime Minister Gold Medal

Chittagong:Twenty-five students from Chittagong University have been nominated for the Prime Minister Gold Medal for the years 2019, 2020, and 2021.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the University Grants Commission (UGC) announced the nominations through a notice signed by Md Omar Faruk, Director (Additional Charge) of its Research Grants and Awards Division.

Among the nominated students, nine were selected for the PM Gold Medal-2019, while eight students each were chosen for 2020 and 2021. Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Al-Forkan expressed his happiness and pride over this achievement, stating that it is a significant honor for the university. He anticipates that these students will play an important role in the country's future.

The PM Gold Medal was introduced by the UGC in 2005 to recognize students who achieve the highest marks or CGPA at the undergraduate or postgraduate level across various faculties in universities and educational institutions nationwide. A total of 469 students from different institutions have been nominated for the award for the years 2019, 2020, and 2021.
