Dhaka: Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Ramis Sen today met Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin at his office at the Ministry of Commerce at Bangladesh Secretariat today. During the meeting, they discussed issues related to bilateral trade and commerce as well as the upcoming visit of the Turkish Trade Minister to Bangladesh in January, 2025. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Commerce Adviser emphasized the long-standing brotherly relations between the two countries and highlighted the significance of the upcoming visit of the Turkish Minister. He noted that Bangladesh would undertake plans to ensure the success of the Minister's visit and make efforts to secure the highest possible trade facilities from Turkey. Ambassador Ramis expressed Turkey's interest in deepening bilateral relations with Bangladesh by creating more opportunities in trade and commerce. He suggested holding a dialogue among businessmen from both countries to capitalize on these opportunities. The Ambassador also requested the C ommerce Adviser to organize roundtable discussions and business talks involving entrepreneurs from both nations during the Turkish Minister's upcoming visit. Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin assured the Ambassador of taking necessary initiatives in this regard. Commerce Ministry Additional Secretary (Export) M Abdur Rahim Khan was present on the occasion.
