Dhaka: A truck driver was killed and its helper injured in a road accident in the Kadamrasul area of Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased was identified as Selim Fakir, 28. The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway when a rod-laden truck collided with another truck around 5 am. This collision resulted in the immediate death of Selim, the driver of the rod-laden truck, while his helper, Rakib, sustained injuries.
Md. Abdul Momin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bar Aulia Highway Police Station, confirmed that the injured helper was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
