Feni: A truck driver was killed and his helper injured in a road accident in front of Rampur Samrat Factory on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway of the district today. The deceased was identified as Ripon Mia, 50.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred when a truck collided with a covered van from behind. This tragic incident resulted in the immediate death of truck driver Ripon Mia, while his helper, Kamal Hossain, sustained critical injuries.
Mohipal Highway Police officer-in-charge Harun-or-Rashid confirmed the incident, stating that police have recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of law enforcement, the driver of the covered van managed to escape the scene with his vehicle.
