Naogaon: A truck driver was killed in a road accident at Sabritala intersection on the Rajshahi-Naogaon highway in Manda upazila here in the district this morning. The incident occurred around 5:00 am when a goods-laden truck collided with a sand-laden truck after the driver lost control of the steering. The deceased was identified as Saju Mia, 40, son of late Amir Uddin from Kholahati union in Gaibandha district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the collision resulted in the immediate death of Saju Mia, who was driving the goods-laden truck. Mansur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Manda Police Station, confirmed that Saju died on the spot. Following the incident, police recovered the body and sent it to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
