Dhamrai: A pickup van driver and his assistant lost their lives in a tragic road accident in the Dhulivita area on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Dhamrai upazila. The incident occurred when a truck collided with their stationary vehicle, leading to the immediate death of both individuals. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the victims have been identified as Kanchon, a 45-year-old driver from Jamalpur, and Ashraful, his 28-year-old assistant from Netrakona district. The accident took place early in the morning when the truck rammed into the parked pickup van. Officer-in-Charge of Savar Highway Thana Saugat Alam confirmed that the accident happened as the truck struck the rear of the pickup van. The impact was severe, leaving both the driver and the helper dead at the scene. Following the accident, police managed to seize the truck involved in the collision.
