Narsingdi: A day-long training session focused on modern agricultural technology was organized today in Narsingdi as part of the "Expansion of Modern Agricultural Technology in Char Areas of Bangladesh" project. The event took place at the Khamar Bari premises located in Bajirmor and brought together local farmers eager to enhance their agricultural practices.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was presided over by Mohammad Azizul Haque, the Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension. Ziaur Rahman, the project officer, attended the training as the chief guest. The session drew the participation of 60 farmers, including both men and women, from the char areas of Sadar Upazila. These farmers received training from Sakhore Chandra Banik, the Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer.
The program also saw the presence of several notable figures, including Project Monitoring Officer Md. Rakik Hossain, Additional Deputy Director Salauddin Tipu, and Subrata Kanti Dutta. The day concluded with the distribution of agricultural inputs to 45 farmers, equipping them with tools and resources to implement the knowledge gained during the session.
