Training for Presiding Officers Conducted in Gaibandha for Upcoming Parliamentary Election

Gaibandha: A daylong training session for presiding officers ahead of the upcoming parliamentary election, scheduled for February 12, was conducted this afternoon at the auditorium of Palashbari Upazila Parishad. The training was organized by the Upazila Election Office in collaboration with the Upazila Administration, as per directives from the Bangladesh Election Commission.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the training was led by Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Mohammad Masudur Rahman Mollah and Police Superintendent Muhammad Jashim Uddin, who served as resource persons. An inaugural session was held earlier, presided over by District Election Officer Md Shahidul Islam. The training was formally inaugurated by DC Masudur Rahman Mollah, who attended as the chief guest, while Police Superintendent Muhammad Jashim Uddin addressed the participants as a special guest.



In their speeches, the officials highlighted the commitment of the district and police administrations, along with other government entities, to ensure a free, fair, peaceful, credible, transparent, and neutral parliamentary election. DC Masudur Rahman Mollah urged the officers to perform their duties with sincerity and honesty, avoiding any bias or negligence. He also stressed the importance of maintaining vigilance on Election Day to allow voters to cast their ballots peacefully and without any disruption.



A total of 87 presiding officers participated in the comprehensive training session.
