Traffic Restrictions Announced Around Bangabhaban for Victory Day

Dhaka: The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has announced a series of traffic restrictions in and around Bangabhaban on the occasion of the Great Victory Day to ensure smooth movement of vehicles for state guests. On December 16, 2025, the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, the Chief Justice, advisers of various ministries, foreign diplomats, senior government officials, and leaders of different organizations will pay a courtesy call on the President at Bangabhaban.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, traffic restrictions will remain in force from 2:00 pm until the end of the state reception ceremony. During this period, all types of vehicles will be prohibited from traveling from Ahad Box (Gulistan) to Ittefaq Intersection and from Motijheel Alico Gap to Dilkusha Commercial Area and Rajuk Crossing. Vehicles will also be restricted from moving from the north side of Motijheel Park Road towards Ittefaq Intersection.



Buses traveling from Shapla Chattar and Dainik Bangla towards Rajuk-Gulistan will be diverted via Dainik Bangla, UBL, Press Club, or other convenient alternative routes. Additionally, no commercial vehicles will be allowed to travel from Dainik Bangla towards Rajuk. All types of vehicles, except those with authorized stickers, will be restricted from moving from Zero Point towards Rajuk.



The DMP has requested drivers and commuters to adhere to the designated routes and has sought full cooperation from the public to maintain traffic discipline and avoid congestion during the Victory Day events.
