Dhaka:BNP Acting Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi emphasized the importance of tolerance and patience for politicians, citing the challenges and adversities inherent in the field. He expressed these views during his address as the chief guest at the publication ceremony of the literary magazine 'Sareng's' special issue on poet Rezauddin Stalin, held at the Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Hall of the Jatiya Press Club.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rizvi reflected on the political challenges faced over the past 17 years, noting that many relatives and friends were hesitant to invite them to gatherings due to fears of legal repercussions. This reluctance, he explained, was not due to insincerity but rather concerns about potential difficulties for other guests.

Rizvi also highlighted the support poet Rezauddin Stalin provided during those trying times. He stressed the need for literature to reflect contemporary global issues, particularly the crises stemming from climate change and global warming. Rizvi noted that poets play a vital role in capturing these challenges and the essence of people's lives through their work.

He acknowledged positive changes in the cultural landscape under the current government and credited the Shilpakala Academy for contributing to this progress. Rizvi praised Rezauddin Stalin for his ability to invigorate an institution through his leadership and creativity, describing him as a modern and unconventional artist not confined by party structures.

The event was presided over by Dr. Muhammad Asaduzzaman, with special guests including Jatiya Press Club President Hasan Hafiz and others. Abdur Rahman Mallik, editor of 'Sareng,' moderated the ceremony, which was attended by several poets and journalists.
