A toddler was killed and seven others were injured following a head-on collision between two battery-run easy-bikes in Kathuli Bazar area of Chuadanga Sadar upazila on Friday noon.
Two-year-old Jui Khatun, 2, was the daughter of Zia of Alamdanga upazila.
Another toddler was seriously injured in the accident.
Dr. Marvin Anik Chowdhury of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital’s emergency department said that Jui died on the way to the hospital.
Confirming the matter, Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Chuadanga Sadar police station, said the accident occurred on their way to Jhenaidah district.
According to the injured, their easy-bike was hit by another easy-bike coming from the opposite direction. Both vehicles overturned, and both sets of passengers fell off the bikes.
Later locals rescued them and rushed them to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
