Magura: Three students lost their lives in a road accident in front of Abalpur Government Primary School on the Magura-Jhenaidah highway.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the victims have been identified as Sajim Molla, 20, from Kashinathpur village, Jisan, 18, from Boroichara village, and Robin, 17, from Hajipur village. Sajim and Jisan were enrolled in class XII at Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy College in Magura, while Robin was in class nine at Hajipur School and College.
Local police, quoting witnesses, reported that the accident occurred when a motorcycle carrying the three students collided head-on with a passenger bus from ‘Druti Paribahan.’ The collision resulted in the immediate death of two riders, while the third rider was critically injured and succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital.
Authorities have seized both vehicles involved in the accident from the scene.
