Three Sent to Jail in Jubo Dal Leader Kibria Murder Case

Dhaka: A court here today sent to jail three accused who were arrested in the case lodged over the murder of Pallabi thana Jubo Dal leader Golam Kibria on November 17. The three accused are Masum Billah alias Bhagne Masum, Nazrul Islam, and Jamal Sardar. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ashraful Haque passed the order as police produced the trio before the court and pleaded to keep them behind bars till the end of the probe.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police on November 20 arrested the three from Shariatpur. The arrests were made following the investigation into the case filed in connection with the murder. The case statement details that three masked and helmeted assailants entered a hardware store in Mirpur-12 Block-C under Pallabi Police Station around 6:40 pm on November 17 and shot Kibria dead.



The following day, the victim’s widow, Sabiha Akter Dina, filed the case with Pallabi Police Station, naming five people and seven to eight unidentified others. Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify and apprehend the additional suspects involved in the incident.
