Chattogram:Three petrol bombs were hurled at two government offices in the Sholoshahar area of Chattogram city, causing brief panic among pedestrians and local residents on Thursday night.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the targeted offices were the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) and the Chandgaon Land Circle Office. The incident occurred around 8 p.m., as reported by Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Hasan Md Showkat Ali.
Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify those responsible for the attack. Mozammel Haque, the officer-in-charge of Panchlaish Police Station, noted that two of the petrol bombs thrown at the LGED office did not explode. Preliminary investigations suggest that the petrol bombs were thrown from the flyover above the offices. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
