Three persons drown in Gorkha, Tanahun

Three persons were drowned in Gorkha and Tanahun district on Sunday.

Bipin Nepali, 17, of Palungtar Municipality-6 in Gorkha district was drowned in a fishpond while swimming, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ramesh Kumar Shrestha said.

Likewise, Shishir Kumal, 20, of Barbote in Vyas Municipality-5 drowned in Sangekhola (river), the police confirmed.

DSP of Tanahun District Police Office Dipak Raya said Kumal was found in the river, which is some one kilometer away from his house.

Similarly, 40-year-old Nim Bahadur Masangri died as he was swept away by Chundikhola in Bhanu Municipality-6 while taking a bath in the river.

According to police, his body was recovered on the bank of the river at Panchanagar in Bhanu Municipality.
