Chattogram: A mobile court of the National Consumer Rights Department in Chattogram imposed fines on three commercial organizations, totaling Tk 98,000, for irregularities in the Chawkbazar area of the city.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mohammad Faiz Ullah, Deputy Director of the National Consumer Affairs Department in Chattogram, led the operation. The fines were distributed as follows: Arts of Pia was fined Tk 60,000, Aris Food Tk 30,000, and Phulkoli Tk 8,000.
Faiz Ullah stated that similar campaigns would be conducted in the future to protect public interest. During the drive, Assistant Director Md. Anisur Rahman and Mahmuda Akhter from the National Consumer Affairs Department in Chattogram were also present.
