Dhaka: Health officials today said they recorded 372 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts killing at least three persons in the past 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period, 67 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 54 in Chattogram division, 103 in Dhaka division, 52 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 22 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 43 in Khulna division, 21 in Mymensingh division, four in Rajshahi division, and six in Rangpur division, as stated in a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts, Bangladesh this year has witnessed 37 deaths, while the disease has inflicted 10,857 people. The dengue last year claimed 413 lives and affected 102,861 people in the country.
Additionally, the dengue claimed 575 lives and inflicted 101,214 people in 2024.
