Bhola: Three people were killed and 20 others injured when a bus collided with an auto-rickshaw on the Bhola-Charfassion highway near Gazaria in Lalmohan upazila of Bhola district.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the accident occurred around 2:30 pm in front of Dr Azahar Uddin Degree College. The Charfassion-bound bus hit the auto-rickshaw after the bus driver lost control over steering, causing the vehicle to plunge into a roadside ditch. The impact left three passengers of the auto-rickshaw dead at the scene, and 20 others sustained injuries.
Waliul Islam, officer-in-charge of Lalmohan Police Station, confirmed that police and local fire service personnel rushed to the location upon receiving information about the incident. They recovered the bodies and facilitated the transport of the injured to a local hospital. The identities of the deceased have not been established yet.
