Pabna: Three members of a family tragically lost their lives when a truck collided with their motorcycle in the Demra Chakchakia area under Faridpur upazila. The victims were identified as Sohel Rana, aged 32, his wife Aliya Khatun, 25, and their 7-year-old daughter Sumaiya.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 9:30 am when the truck struck the motorcycle head-on, resulting in the immediate deaths of Aliya Khatun and her daughter Sumaiya. Sohel Rana sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Faridpur Upazila Health Complex for initial treatment.
As Sohel's condition worsened, medical personnel decided to transfer him to Pabna General Hospital. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save him, Sohel succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
The local authorities, including Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Faridpur Police Station Md. Hasnat Zaman, confirmed that the bodies of the deceased were returned to their family members for final rites.
