Gazipur: Three matches of the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football are set to take place at different venues throughout the country tomorrow. Bashundhara Kings will compete against Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur, while Brothers Union Club will face Dhaka Wanderers Club at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Motiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj. Additionally, Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will meet Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium’s old Dhaka outfit in Cumilla. All matches are scheduled to kick off at 4pm.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dhaka Mohammedan SC has already claimed their first-ever league title since the inception of the BPL as the top tier of football in the nation. This victory was solidified with three matches still remaining in the league, following the defeat of their arch-rivals Dhaka Abahani Limited against Fortis SC in Cumilla last Saturday.
Looking ahead, Fortis Football Club is slated to play against Bangladesh Police Football Club at the Bashundhara Kings arena practice ground on Wednesday. On the same day, Abahani Limited, Dhaka will take on Chittagong Abahani Limited at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla.
