Gaibandha:The Special Response Battalion (SRB)-13 seized drugs and arrested three individuals in separate operations in the Gaibandha and Lalmonirhat districts on Sunday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the operations led to the confiscation of 400 yaba tablets, 35 bottles of Eskuf syrup, and four bottles of foreign liquor. The arrests were confirmed by a press release from SRB-13's Senior Assistant Director (Media) and Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami.
An SRB-13 team from Gaibandha Camp acted on a tip-off to arrest Md Samiul Haque, 38, who was found with 400 yaba tablets on a passenger bus in Palashbari municipal town. Samiul Haque is from Sicha (Mondal Para) village within the Sundarganj police station area of Gaibandha district.
Additionally, another SRB-13 team conducted raids in Uttar Jawrani village, Hatibandha police station, Lalmonirhat district. The raids resulted in the arrest of Md Khairul Islam, 22, and Khairul Islam, 48, with 35 bottles of Eskuf syrup and four bottles of foreign liquor.
Following the arrests, two separate cases were filed, and the suspects, along with the seized substances, were handed over to the respective police stations in Palashbari and Hatibandha.
