Habiganj: Tens of thousands of people are expected to gather in Habiganj for the Eid-e-Miladunnabi procession, as announced by the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Habiganj district branch.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the announcement was made by the organization’s President, Alhaj Md. Rais Mia, during a briefing held at the organization’s office premises.
Rais Mia stated that the procession will commence from the Chowdhury Bazar area of the district town at 10 am on September 6. He emphasized the need for cooperation from everyone to ensure the procession is celebrated peacefully. The local Deputy Commissioner and police administration have pledged their support to facilitate the event.
In a move to maintain decorum, Rais Mia announced that all types of DJ music have been banned from playing during the procession. Notable attendees at the press conference included General Secretary Maulana Kazi AA Jalil, Vice-President Principal Golam Sarwar Alam, Assistant General Secretary Hafez Ebadul Haque Chowdhury, Organising Secretary Maulana Abu Tayyab Mojahidi, and Assistant Organiser Haji Mofizur Rahman Titu.
