Munshiganj: Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today said those implicated in false cases will get justice. “Police have been facing some problems in submitting charge sheets in many cases as there are lots of accused in those cases,” he said while talking to the journalists after inaugurating the ‘July Martyred Memorial’ here.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the home adviser, along with the members of the martyrs’ families, Public Works and Housing Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Dhaka range Md Rezaul Karim Mallick, Deputy Commission (DC) Munshiganj Fatema Tul Jannat, and leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, inaugurated the memorial at Lichutola area in the town at about 5pm by placing floral wreaths at the altar of the memorial.

Jahangir Alam Chowdhury stated that many innocent people have been accused in different cases and the government has been trying to complete the investigation into those cases. In many cases, the number of accused is several times higher than the real culprits, and that is why the investigators are facing various problems.

Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan mentioned that the graves of the martyrs of the July Uprising are being preserved. The Gano Bhaban has been made into a museum, he said, adding that the souls of the July martyrs would be happy if their unfinished jobs are done, and the government is trying to achieve that.
