Dhaka: A three-day Thai trade exhibition titled "Top Thai Brands 2026" is set to commence in the capital on Thursday, with the goal of enhancing trade ties and business cooperation between Bangladesh and Thailand. The exhibition, organized by the Office of Commercial Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy, will take place from July 23 to 25 at the Grand Ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon, as stated in a press release. Visitors can attend the fair daily from 10 am to 8 pm.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir is slated to inaugurate the event at 1 pm on July 23, serving as the chief guest. During a press conference in Dhaka, Anusorn Kautipvittaya, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) at the Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy, highlighted that this exhibition marks the 21st edition of the annual event. "Trade fairs are an effective way to strengthen relations between two nations. Thailand and Bangladesh, as friendly countries, have enhanced their trade cooperation through such exhibitions, contributing to stronger bilateral business ties in recent years," he stated.
The exhibition will feature participation from 57 exhibitors, including prominent Thai companies and their Bangladeshi importers and agents. The showcased products will span a variety of sectors such as food and beverages, healthcare and wellness, fashion, beauty and cosmetics, building materials, chemicals and lubricants, stationery, and baby and childcare products.
One of the key highlights of the event will be the Business Matchmaking Sessions, designed to connect Thai companies with Bangladeshi importers, distributors, entrepreneurs, and potential business partners. This initiative aims to explore new commercial opportunities and foster long-term business relationships.
Adding to the cultural experience, the exhibition will include Thai cultural performances, Muay Thai demonstrations, fashion shows, raffle draws, and other entertainment activities. Furthermore, Pan Pacific Sonargaon will host a Thai Food Festival throughout the event, offering visitors a taste of authentic Thai cuisine.
